Recruitment is the process of hiring new qualified employees for a job position. There are a few steps in the recruitment process.

1. Identify the job description - job title, tasks, responsibilities
2. Identify the job specifications - requirements of job
3. Advertise the job through suitable resources - internet, flyers
4. Received job applications - resume
5. Review on the applicants and pick qualified ones
6. Conduct interviews
7. Final selection on the best and suitable applicant

Just like other companies, the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf conducts the recruitment process as well. Job adverts are often found on the official website of Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. They also advertise through different ways as well.

by filling in the simple information and submit the resume.

Through these various types of advertising methods, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf company will then received many job applications. The management system will then pick the qualified applicants and conduct interviews. Finally, the best and suitable applicant is chosen based on the interview.

Here is an example on the barista job advert in Singapore. You can choose to be a part time or a full time barista. To be a barista, you should be responsible in serving all products. Besides, have to promote to customers about the CBTL's coffee and teas. Here are some requirements of being a barista:

1. Minimum IGCSE O Level
2. Bilingual in English and Mandarin
3. Able to work 6 days per week
4. Friendly and socializing

  1. I personally think that the recruitment process of Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf company is open and fair. Everyone has an equal opportunity to apply for the job as there are advertisement everywhere. If one is interested and qualified, he can always apply the job through website.

    As for me, I think that it is good to be a barista in Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. I'm too young to be in-charge of other job positions in Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. I think that the job specifications of being a barista is reasonable. Bilingual is actually necessary when there are foreign tourists. If a barista can't handle between the communication skills, that will affect the reputation of the company. A part-time barista is suitable for me as I've got to study. However, I have to wait until next year because I don't have the IGCSE O' level qualification yet.
